Become a summer worker at TFSS
Sometimes Texas Foundation Seed Service hires people on a part-time basis to work in Vernon during the summer. These positions are ideal for college or high school students, but are open to anyone. A summer worker must be at least 16 years of age, be capable of working outdoors in seed production fields during rouging and harvest, and in a seed conditioning facility during the bagging of small grains crops. The person must be able to lift and stack bags weighing 50 to 60 pounds and perform duties in a sometimes dusty environment.

Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a Student Employment Application [Form AG-457].
If the applicant is under 18, the student’s legal guardian/s must complete a Minor’s Employment Release [Form AG-416].
